ABOUT ME
It's been a good few years since I've engaged in the Couch Surfing Community. I've had the pleasure of sleeping on many a couch during my travels from 2007 - 2014 and it was such an incredible way to met people and places, and share time and space. So, hi again folk.
Travelling took a slight back seat in 2012 when I started studying Anthropology in Exeter University. Upon graduating in 2015, I travelled to Sierra Leone and volunteered with community health projects and building local capacity.
Since then I have filled my time working as a childminder, a support worker, and working in backpackers.
In spoken word I am much more elaborate... I love to share and learn, I make a decent cup of tea (very British), and I'm not so bad in the kitchen.
PHILOSOPHY
The wind will come and blow all our footprints away

Books
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, trilogy.
The Invisible Gorilla...even if you don't enjoy psychology, this is a great read
The Fifth Sacred Thing...beautiful book!!!
Numerous anthropology and ethnography books and articles
Music and Movies
I love hearing new music. I enjoy World, Trance, Indie, Folk, House..you name it I'll probably listen to it. Equally easy when it comes to movie genres... terrible with names of artists and songs/actors and titles though!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everyday is full of amazing things. One of my favourite memories, whilst in Sierra Leone, was learning to appreciate the beauty of cooking together and eating from the same pot.
Teach, Learn, Share
Be open to life for it is a journey that no-one is clear about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories and laughs and hopefully an adventure or two. I'm very house proud so I'm more than happy to chip in with cleaning, cooking and the likes... I'll call it quits at ironing though.
