About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find like minded people to indulge in the joys of life with!

ABOUT ME

Phew. Where do I even begin with this exercise of blowing my trumpet? This reincarnation of some court jester of the days of yore is here to confess to her crimes, so listen up! I am frustratingly unpredictable, even unto myself, which I do believe might possibly be one of the undocumented effects of ambidextrousness! I have a penchant for being child-like, profound, idiotic and sensible all at once, and I can go from chatty to contemplative to business-like from one second to the next! The connection between the brain and the tongue is definitely short-circuited, and sarcasm is my middle name. That aside, I have been accused, more often than not of having the gift of the gab, so all the best keeping up with me. I thrive on intellectually stimulating conversations; the more insightful and unusual, the better. Clumsy, whimsical and quirky, I represent a confluence of Phoebe and Chandler's characters in FRIENDS, or so I've been made to believe going by them customer feedback forms. All in all, it's pretty exhausting being me, in an extremely delightful way! :D

PHILOSOPHY

Just be as perfect a version of YOU as you can be cause this world has enough clones to go around! ;P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to be able to lend a helping hand, should anyone need any information that I could render my invaluable inputs on in all matters concerning Bombay, or even India as a whole. And if you're in my city, I'd be glad to show you around, and try my best I shall, to ensure that we have an adventure or two...or three, twogether or threegether...the more the merriest!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I do believe that CS is quite the ideal "virtual melting pot" that can hope to bring people with common interests together, so in that sense, it's an excellent platform to filter people and neatly tick off the key common travel-related inserts on their bucket list, in my view. :)

Interests

I have a love for almost all the arts, be it reading, sketching, playing the piano, singing, writing, acting, craft-work, dancing...and I absolutely love to travel, indulge in a spot of adventure sports on a sporadic basis and oh yes, I love to cook, seeing as my cooking hasn't killed anyone...yet. :-X

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah! The triple whammy! I absolutely love cinema right from comedies, to animated films to dark comedy to action, the classics, suspense thrillers, the likes of The Godfather, Pan's Labyrinth, Doubt, Count of Monte Christo, Sense and Sensibility, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Road to El Dorado, The Emperor's New Groove, Borat, The Devil Wears Prada, Mulan, Unthinkable, The Mummy, etc. as for music, I love hard rock, heavy metal, western classical, choral, instrumental, a cappella, anything with a regular time signature..Iris by Goo Goo Dolls is MY song, and don't you forget it! I adore songs by artists such as Imagine Dragons, Radiohead, Paramore, ACDC, Miles Davis, Satriani, Tchaikovsky, Charlotte Church, Carl Orff, quite the eclectic mix, I know!

And as for books, they're my first love. To Kill A Mockingbird, The Fountainhead, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, Harry Potter, Agatha Christie, Richmal Crompton...the works! PG Wodehouse books are my absolute favourite though, I owe my language skills to this author! One of my favourite quotes which encapsulates my love for reading goes like this - 'You can take a book anywhere..and vice versa'! ☺️

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The underwater walk among the corals, jumping off the terrace for the 'suicide jump' in Thailand, climbing down a waterfall and taking in the view after a particularly arduous hike are certain delightful moments that I shall be sure to always cherish, even if amnesia should hit me someday or I should become a senile old bat when the time comes to sport them dentures!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like meeting knowledgeable people who can talk about just about anything and everything under the sun, the arts, politics, business, the works! The more witty, sarcastic and surprising, the better!
