I'm a 20-year-old aspiring student with a zest for life and a passion for people, always looking to deepen my knowledge through immersive cross-cultural opportunities in dynamic environments.
I grew up in South Africa and moved to the Netherlands in March of 2022.

My passions include learning languages, meeting new people from different cultures, singing, dancing, horse riding and hiking. I love trying out new things, ranging from food to activities. Not to mention the obvious: travelling, which gives me the opportunity to live out all my passions in great places with wonderful people. I am passionate about human rights, with a particular interest in counter-human trafficking at the moment. I am sure of the fact that my experiences abroad will aid me in the future so that I may best assist others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet new people, whether local or non-local, in the places I am visiting to get a glimpse of life there and hear about their experiences. Naturally getting tips on places to see and things to do is always a welcome bonus!
Travelling gives me a fresh perspective of the world, showing that there are more ways of thinking and living than the one you grew up with. I hope to gather as much of this knowledge as I can throughout my life.

Oh man, my playlist is an absolute jumble of any and every genre in many languages, ranging from Italian opera to Turkish pop!
I enjoy reading books on self-improvement, study methods, and current global issues. On the other hand, I am also a fan of classics like Jane Austen's novels, Shakespeare, and Orwell.
War movies, especially historical ones, might just be my favourite genre, but honestly, I'd watch anything except horror!
