About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to explore this planet the most I can, find myself and meet kind and interesting people, share experiences, stories and make many, many friends all over the world.

ABOUT ME

I am a very easy-going person with a lot of hobbies, such as: Films, Books, Technology, Snowboarding, Internet and many other things.

After I graduated university, I started traveling a lot and never stopped ever since. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and nationalities and I hope that after each moment that Couch Surfing can provide me, I can get a friend at the end of each one of them. Now I'm currently living in Moscow, Russia, teaching English for an international company.

Here is also a map about all the countries that I have already been to.

PHILOSOPHY

Just go with the flow, hehe. I have learned in this life that nothing happens without any reason. I have met great people ever since I started traveling and I have also learnt a lot about respecting different cultures and understanding other people. The idea of CS goes very well with me, because I always like to have different experiences and meet new places and new people, so just try.

I want to meet people that are honest, kind and friendly. In my point of view, traveling represents a great way to meet people like this and make great friend for the rest of your life. And also I want to share a lot of ideas and knowledge with people about not only culture, but history, science, music, films and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friend has always traveled a lot and knows many many people from abroad. She recommended me to check out this network so I joined and I hope to be as lucky as she was.

Also, I want to take part in meetings in Moscow, so that I can get to know more people, get more information about how does this system works and get more experience to hopefully later host more and more people as well as surf.

If you want to know more about me and also see pictures of me and the places I have already visited, check them out on my Facebook page:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't got a lot of experience yet, but here is some of the great people and great experiences I had so far.

Hosting:

16/04/2012 - (RUSSIA) - It was my first time hosting a person from abroad. Luckily, it was a brazilian guy like me, so language was no an issue, hehe. It was very cool, Felipe and I have known each other for a long time, but since we have done it through Couch Surfing, I think it was a very good experience that was only possibly thanks to Couch Surfing.

Surfing:

07/10/2011 - (RUSSIA) I stayed with Anton Malakhin and it was great time, he helped me out a lot when I was trying to find a flat in Moscow and also work at the same time. It was very very good to have met him. It was also the first time I was using Couch Surfing.

22/04/2012 - (RUSSIA) - It was my second time using Couch surfing and in this occasion a friend and I used it to stay in St. Petersburg, in a very cool and friend girl's house. Her name is Tatiana Pinchuk, she was extremely helpful and treated us really really well.

24/04/2012 - (FINLAND) - This was my third time couch surfing, and this time I was again with a friend and we stayed in Helsinki with a very friend Vietnamese guy, called Duc Le, he is a great person and I hope we can keep touch and become good friends.

05/05/2012 - (RUSSIA) - My friend Masha and I decided to go to Petrozavodsk to what can only be described as the best trip I have had so far. We not only saw a beautiful, remarkable and splendid nature and also a lot of traditional and folkloric habits as well as met some of the great people and friend I have ever met through Couch Surfing. Thanks again for everything Lidia, Yuri, Marina, Ilya, Katya, Nastya and all the others who presented us with a great time in this trip.

10/06/2012 - (RUSSIA) - My friend Masha and I decided to go to Kazan, and again, it was one of the best trips of my life. We met a girl called Masha that knew the city extremely well. We had one day in the city, she told us all about the historic Kremlin and other places, such as Mosques and Museums. The next day we had a great day in a traditional festival of the Tatarian Republic. Thanks again for everything to Masha who presented us with a great time in this trip.

22/12/2012 - 08/01/2013 - (ITALY and FRANCE) - My friend Masha and I decided to go to the road again and this time visit Italy and France. We really cool friends in our 20 days trip, like Vincenzo, Cristina, Francesco Andrea and Jacopo, great Couch Surfing experiences and friends. It was again one of the best trips that I have ever had and it was a great combination of food, smells, noises and culture that were really familiar to me.

Travelling with:

She had the great idea to go to this city, the capital of Karelia Republic, and show me all the beauties of this fantastic place. She was the perfect travel companion and we had a lot of fun together. Thanks my dear and I hope we can travel more and more together.

10/06/2012 - (RUSSIA) - I travelled to Kazan, like I said before, with my friend Masha and it was great. We had the great idea to go to this city, the capital of the Tatarian Republic, and show me all the beauties of this fantastic place. And again, she was the perfect travel companion and as usual, we had a lot of fun together. Thanks again, darling and I hope we can travel more and more together.

22/12/2012 - 08/01/2013 - (ITALY and FRANCE) - Another great trip that I had with my great friend Masha, who is the kindest and sweetest person I know. It was a pleasure to travel with you again darling. We met many interesting places together. Rome, Venice, Milan and Paris. A very international trip that if I had the chance to do it again, I would definitely do it.

Interests

I am really interested in making friends, meeting new people and also traveling as much as can. Broaden my horizons with these experiences and get more life experiences to help me in all aspects of my life, and of course, hopefully, contribute to the life of others if possible.

I like to see old and ancient things, cities, architecture, but I also love to be in the nature, go hiking, ocean and mountains. Go for walk with friend, grab a beer in a bar with friends, going to the movies and, of course, going to concerts and things of the sort.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love many kinds of films and music the same. Mainly, because these are my biggest passions in life. So, it is a chat that I could go on forever about it. I also love photography very very much and reading as well. I have read many things in terms of type of literature and also in terms of genre, but I would say that my favorite type of literature is anything that is related to the Russian literature.

Here are some examples:

- Books: Brothers Karamazov, Sofie's World, Antoine Saint Exupery, Rousseau, Dostoevsky, Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Eça de Queirós and many others.

- Films: Into the Wild, Captain and Commander, Central do Brasil, Life is Beautiful, Crash, My Skip Dog, The Eighth Day.

- Music: I mostly like rock, but I am very eclectic when it comes to music and films, but my favorites would be: Pearl Jam, Dream Theater, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and many other things, including a lot of MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) from Brazil, like Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, Djavan, Gilberto Gil and many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen amazing things, such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Russian architecture and the Russian people, I have seen the Swiss Alps, which was something that really impressed me and many other things, but I am sure that there is still a lot more to come.

But the most amazing thing I have done would be for sure to have accomplished the dream of living abroad in a country totally different than my own, which is Russia. I left everything I had in my country to live this dream and it has been great ever since. And it has also given me plenty of opportunity to travel around the world. Get to know Europe better and also get to know many people from different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I can teach somethings to people, like many things related to music, films and books things like that, things that I have learned from my life experiences and also many things that I have picked up from people that I have met around the world. However, I do know that I still have a lot to learn, so that is why I would love to meet more people and get to know more of the world, which I am sure has a lot more to offer me.

And of course, the things I am good at, like I can teach you to play the guitar or the piano, I can teach you English, Portuguese and also a little Spanish. But mostly, I can teach a lot about cinema and photography, two of my big passions in life.
