Hi there!! Let us introduce ourselves...

We are Ana and Ricard (or Rik, as it's easier to pronounce :D). We are a couple from Spain, Madrid and Barcelona.

One of our passions is travelling and after finishing our university degree and master. Everything started with a "short" trip to Vietnam and Cambodia some years ago. This trip would change the way we see the world.

After working really hard for some time we decided to take advantage of working holidays visa opportunities. I was time to discover New Zealand.

We spend almost one year in New Zealand and the next logic step was to "cross the ditch" and see what Australia had to offer. We spend one year in Australia working and travelling (well, more working than travelling to be honest)

During these two years we have worked in very different jobs: hotels, apple packhouse, baristas, all rounders in the middle of nowhere in the australian desert...

By the way, we are psychologists and we have worked with people with severe mental illness (like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder) and we have worked as a teachers too.

Since we started to travel we have visited so many different places like Japan, Laos, Cambodia, USA, Argentina, Dubai, New Zealand, Australia, London, France, Italy, Vietnam, Australia...

We are funny and very open minded people. Good talkers as we have stories to share, things we have learned during theses past years. We are curious and we always want to learn about everything: history, people, foreign cultures, different languages, different cuisine...

As we love sharing experiences and learning about different cultures we believe that Coachsurfing gives us a unique opportunity to truly know people and places as well.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Some time ago we realized that traveling and seeing places was not enough to learn. We wanted to go depper truly knowing and truly learning... We discovered that the best way to know a country is knowing their people and learning from them and with them. And we believe that Coachsurfing is just about that :D

As we really love cinema we don't know where to start... Classic, sci-fi, action, adventures, terror, drama... and so on, so on... haha.

We are very fan of TV shows too: Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, Adventure Time, Regular Show...

We like all kind of music. Back in Spain we used to go to a lot of live music shows of different styles rock

We know is not music, books or movies but we like juggling too. We even ride unycicle

Travelled around the world with one way ticket.

We worked for 4 moths in the australian desert in the middle of nowhere (seriously, the middle of nowhere, not joking)

Oh! And if you like soccer we had the opportunity of metting some of the players of Real Madrid FC and even the couch!

We would like to learn about your culture, talk about travelling experiences, teach about our country (because not everything iss about bullfighting :P)...but mostly, have a good time

The most important... We are from Spain, a country with a lot of curious traditions and good (really good!!) food. We can share some (ingredients are hard to find sometimes) dishes of the spanish cuisine and also we offer the oportunity of practising spanish as we have worked as a teachers of spanish and english back in our country.

We have travelled around some countries and we can share recomendations if you are about to travel.

And last but not least we offer good company, good talks and learning exchange :)
