Overview
About Me
I generally like old stuff. That's why I study History and I participate in a historical streetcar association. Trains are another interest: I enjoy traveling on, operating, photographing, restoring and studying them. I also like teaching, so that's why I teach History and Introduction to Railroads at two universities in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. My love of History means my house is full of books and antiques, which is a drawback if you enjoy minimalist spaces.
I live in an apartment in a residential neighborhood close to downtown with my girlfriend of 9 years (that counts as a common-law marriage, in my opinion).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
According to surfer friends, it's a great way to meet new people and have a roof over one's head for little money, which combines my love of people, safety and thrift.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done some mildly amazing things, but if I tell you here I won't have much left to talk about in person. Works best if you are easily amazed.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show them around the city, pinpoint historically significant places, take them railfanning, take them for a ride on a historical streetcar, discuss politics, economy, transportation policy.
