About Me

I recently moved from Porto to Livingston to work in a restaurant with a friend. I'm looking to move to Edinburgh soon to work in advertising. This change of home came about on an urge to explore the world, step away from the usual and familiar to go out and meet new people and opportunities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to visit a new place is through its locals. As much as I like to know new places, I'm not attracted to the artificiality typical tourism. Where I go, I like to get involved by knowing the most interesting part of a new country: its people. Its getting to know new folks that really brings a trip alive and that's the main reason I'm on couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know the greatest artificial migration in humankind's history was undertook by the soviet people, fleeing from the west to east during WWII? Or that, in the French Revolution, it was a march of women that stormed Versailles and brought Louis XVI to Paris to answer for people's claims for freedom and bread? Yes, I'm a history geek as well as a literature and politics geek.

There so much I don't know that I'd love to learn about, just tell me about what you are passionate about and I'll definitely ride along gladly.
