Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Ricardo and I'm 22yo. I grew up in Viseu, a small cozy town in the center of Portugal. Eventually I moved to Lisbon to pursue my dream to study Aerospace Engineering. In September 2017 I moved to Milan to study abroad and broaden my horizons. It's been the best experience of my life, without a doubt and I can only recommend so much. Just the shear amount of new friends that I made and the places that I've had the chance to explore make it alone a great memorable and worthwhile experience.
I'm an open minded individual with a great love for nature and everything that it has to offer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and make friends for life.
Make friends from all over the world, which is already part of my Erasmus experience.
Interests
My hobbies include hiking, music, which includes playing guitar and ukulele (that I got from an international secret Santa exchange) and the more recent piano (my flatmates brought a piano and I started learning on my own); going to the beach after everyday of work (only doable in Lisbon, unfortunately), swimming, whether it's on the beach or in a pool, and a lot more. Cooking is also really fun and I love it, even if I might be the greatest...

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love the music in itself. Every genre has managed to surprise me so far.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was really incredible, but I just jumped onto to what was to be a two day hike in the Alpes by impulse and ended up climbing to the summit of an amazing peak with an amazing view. Seeing my first glaciar, climbing my first peak, seeing the raw beauty and the naked sky absolutely, for me, make it something incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you some of my hobbies and interests, like
-how to play guitar and ukulele
-how to make really good carbonara and lasagna (still planning on learning how to make a good Italian pizza base)
-share music (I really like every type of music), TV series and movies
What I Can Share with Hosts
I really like cooking and know some delicious Portuguese and Italian dishes.
I love grabbing a drink and just talk about whatever through the night listening to all the stories that make up a new friend's life.
All in all I'll be a friendly helping hand, open minded conversation company and good conversation until 5am over a drink, and I can offer some delicious food (hopefully haha).
