A dual citizen of Mexico and the US, I now reside in Russia, where I like to think I can make a difference, as naive as that sounds. I see art, mine or anyone else's, not simply as a means of self-expression, but as a communion with the very act of creation that made the universe and holds it together. Should my art ever incite anyone to appreciate the gift of life any more than they already do, then it will have been worth the effort.

I mostly do theatre, directing and acting, but I also write plays and music, using my meagre guitar skills to avoid singing a capella. Currently learning to play the theremin with Lev Theremin's grandson.

Also, I like cats.

I love traveling, meeting new people, and sharing new experiences. Life is too short to spend it alone, not even with all the books in the world. Not that I'd turn down the books, but I value people more.

Moved to Russia at 18, learned the language, completed two degrees at the St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy and launched a career as an actor and director. The reviews and awards my work has received, as well as my own satisfaction, have led me to believe I'm a successful artist. Not to toot my own horn, but no one doubted me more than myself.

I can teach English, Spanish and Russian, which I also do for a living. If you ask me a question about something I'm interested in (and it's a long list), you might end up with a lot more information than you bargained for.

I like to learn as much as possible about other countries, everything from daily routines to religion, and my favorite way to do so is by interacting with people. Every human being is an ambassador of culture.

Theatrical talents are hard to share outside of the confines of a theatre, but if I've had a drink or two and you put a guitar in my hands I can share my music with you.
