About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dolce far niente... :) but not as much as I would like to!

ABOUT ME

All about one person in a few lines is a very tricky question. I could be defined as a person who is more into the "being" side of life than the "having".
One is what he really is inside and not what he has! :)
I'm simple and honest, easy going and cheerful. A day without a good laugh is a boring day.
A combination between "mens sana in corpore sano", the "seize the day" and the "dolce far niente" would be appropriate for me.

PHILOSOPHY

Living is a unique experience that you should celebrate every day! If you've ever come upon a life of death experience, you'll profit your days much more...You'll trully see what is important and do not give any importance to the small, silly things that consume our brain/energy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couching and being couched is the moto.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

fantastic! it has been wonderful to meet such nice couchsurfers!

Interests

Music, cinema, photografy, travelling, books, arts in general, wine, gastronomy, meeting people! And more music!!! Watching sunset and having a drink... :) Also sports. Running, cycling and swimming are a must to do, but also football with friends and basketball. Hiking has become a new thing, and I'm discovering the wonders of walking in the middle of nowhere.
Motorcycles and riding are my ocean and I'm a very happy Nemo over there. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: From tecno to jazz, just has to be made with feeling! Tindersticks if I'm in the mood, Biffy Clyro to rock, PJ Harvey to feed my soul, Beirut to party, or Gogol Bordello, Cat Power to cry, or Feist, Kings of Convenience, MGMT to pump up, Radio Slave to keep me going, as well as Trentemoller to crack the dance floor, just to name a few...On the moment, Cut Copy is driving my daily jogging. I play guitar and I do like to play acoustic/folk songs.
Cinema: independent/alternative! Not so much in the blockbusters scene. Directors make me go to cinema, not actors. Many films are a lifetime experience, so to name a few is not giving credit to the others. Into the wild was one that made me think what are we doing here.
Books: we can learn from them all, even if is just a sentence/belief. Novels is not my first choice and here I prefer the portuguese writting authors, because translations are somehow different from the original. Saramago and Jorge Amado are two of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Be alive!

Teach, Learn, Share

Nothing to teach rather than my own personal experience. Everything to learn from others point of view. Share the different points of view!
I can teach portuguese way of cooking and also some portuguese! :)
