ABOUT ME
At this moment a lot has changed! Luís is living in Paris, Ricardo is living with Isabel (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/aisabel) in Porto and Vasco is also living in Porto. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to host you, but send us a request if you relate with us! (March 2016)
Now we are the 3 back in Porto and although we are probably not hosting for the next months, you can count on us to show you around by day or by night.
(Sept. 2013)
We have arrived from our 9 month trip around Asia, in July 2012.
In January 2013, Ricardo moved/travelled to South America with one friend.
Luis - 1990, Portuguese, studies dentistry but eventually will never be able to work on it because he's just to lazy and he keeps forgetting things. In this trip he is the optimist guy, always happy to go hitchhike where no cars go, so stubborn that he often convinces all the others to follow him in crazy ideas that, God knows how, sometimes turn into unexpected great discoveries. If there's a technical problem he will try to solve it with his own hands, but if there is a logical question he may not find the answer. He's also the cooker, but not so many times as he says he is. You can expect a really relaxed, friendly and curious attitude from him.
Ricardo - 1990, Portuguese with family from the Azores, studies architecture but eventually will never graduate because working is the real deal for him, not studying. Hopefully he will get an "honoris causa" diploma in the future, after winning the Pritzker Award. In this trip, he is the pro-active guy, always waking up earlier to get everything ready for breakfast. He is passionate about hitting the road and enjoying every moment of it. You can expect beard on his face, beer on his stomach and Pink Floyd on his mind. A very good guy to travel with, because he likes to wash the dishes.
Vasco - 1990, Portuguese, in love with his home town (Porto!) but also desperate to know different countries. Studies industrial engineering and management, but all those impossible-to-resolve exercises were filling his mind with non-useful tips to achieve happiness. In this trip he is the play-it-safe guy, always doubtful of Luis' ideas. He is the map man, the accounts man and the "I don't need to get a tattoo in order to enjoy this trip" man. Expect him to know all capital cities of the world and to give his best in learning your country's language. Expect some madness too. In a good way, of course.http://teatrodogloboterrestre.blogspot.com

PHILOSOPHY
Travel, but don't act as if the world is your own playground. Respect people, respect differences, respect nature. Be thankful with what you've got. Doing something that makes you fulfilled is the most important.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ricardo was surfing in South America in 2013.
The three of us were surfing around Asia in 2012.
In Porto we hosted a couple of times, but mostly we are available for showing around.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Actually our first experiences in CS were great, but they were not arranged through CS website. He met our hosts in some other ways. We surfed in Berlin (Dec.2011), in small towns in Slovenia, Kranj and Krsko (Jan.2012) and in Istanbul (Jan.2012). They were all great experiences.
Later, and thanks to the super active Iranian CS group, we surfed in Tehran, Esfahan, Shiraz and Kerman (Jan. and Feb.2012).
And while in Malaysia we surfed in KL (May 2012)
Interests
In 2011 we were interested in spending all the money we earned while working in Paris. And we did it by crossing Asia in a 7 months trip. We started in December 2011 in Paris and finished in July 2012 in Bangkok.
Besides traveling we have lots of other common interests like music, movies, football, surfing, eating and drinking, architecture, volunteer working...
