About Me

I'm an Italian PhD student in Neuroscience at the University of Sheffield.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Shering, meeting new people and places..time to move

Interests

I like reading when I have time, mainly essays on topics I'm interested in, epistemophilia is my disease. Then for sure volunteering: I've been a volunteer of the Italian Red Cross for 8 years now..started thinking to give a help to whom nedeed it and came up with actually taking more giving by this experience. Third of my interests is yoga, that I had unfortunately to quit when I moved to study to Padua, but still in my heart.

Music, Movies, and Books

well, not a "good" music-listener, but: Lady Gaga, Robin, Bastille, Santigold, Crystal Castles..the list is long and changes periodically.
my favorite movie is stuck back to my childhood, and can't be another one but Edward scissorhands.
when it comes to books, definitely science essays to boost my knowledge, anyway really love postmodernism of Italo Calvino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

working with brain-injured patients: nothing more rewarding than seeing them regaining their lives back.
partecipating to a red cross camp: you really work to pursue something in a group and this can definitely make you grow.

Teach, Learn, Share

all the things I learnt in my life, all the mental changes I've been through the last years..all thanks to relationships and discussions. nothing better to expand your knowledge about yourself and the rest of the world than making comparisons with other different points of view. you can build something by yourself, but if you do it with someone else it can be stronger

What I Can Share with Hosts

what I know about the brain..and believe me: it's amazing.
I'm not a great cook, but I'm trying my best to improve: at least to live up to expectations about Italians' cooking skills (in the meantime I enjoy myself watching masterchef)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
