About Me

Hi everyone, I'm Riccardo and I'm an italian guy who, obviously, is completely in love with travelling and everything connected with it; I think it's my only reason for living.
Generally, I'm a quite guy, I don't really like to party, to drink till get drunk; otherwise I prefer enjoying a beer in front of a good sunset or panorama and have a good and clever conversation about the biggest thems of life ahahahah.
In practice I don't like to be mainstream, especially when I travel I try not to do things or visit only places where everyone goes.
What I can finally say is that I'm a simple person that doesn't need so much to be satisfied, I seek for quitness trying to enjoy life and trying to travel as much as possible, my dream is to travel all around the world and go in visit each country of the world...All we us have as humans it's only to cooperate each other to try to make the world a better place.

PHILOSOPHY OF TRAVEL
When I travel I usually try not to visit only famous places that you can be able to see in every guide, but I'd like also to discover hidden things or places. I try to think as a local in order to understand how they really live and think, what is their culture and vision of life (that probably will be necessarily different from yours): I try, as much as possible, to be part of their country so, when I come home, I will have a memory not only of the places I've visited but also of what I felt during my trip, even if I stayed only just a little. I believe that travel is not only about visit places but, mainly, what kind of emotions you fell before, during and after the trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined this community cause I believe that the only thing that makes you richer is to travel and discover new countries/cultures in order not to be closed-minded and think that the world is only where you live, one of the biggest problem in our world, in my opinion. Meet a lot of people from all over the world is just amazing, hear their stories and learn their habits...Actually everyone has something to teach you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Generally I prefer rock and indie music, but I listen to all kind of music cause I think that the genre it's not so important, what metter it's the musicality of the song. I only hate reggae and latin music.
About books and films, I don't read so much (the only books that I've ever read are the university ones and the ones from Andrzej Sapkowski, who wrote a series of fantasy books that, later became also a videogame).
About films, I can say that, at the beginning, I used to watch only thriller films because I'm in love with stories that you don't know how they'll ends. Then, when Netflix finally arrived in Italy in 2015 my social life ended: I began to see ONLY TV series (forgetting films) until last year when I finished Lost (best series in the globe) and, I don't even know why, I started to be more quiet in this.
Favourite series: Lost, Sense8, Broadchurch, Breaking Bad, Black Mirror

The only thing I can teach is how to love Iceland and how to cook pasta :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer everything that not concerns cooking...yeah I'm italian and I can't cook very well. But, as an italian, I can cook pasta very well (rather than blood we have pasta in our veins)
