About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In pursuit of happiness

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, so here are a couple of facts about me. I am usually told by my friends that I have a peaceful appearance. I am not a very loud guy, but I do enjoy having fun, whatever that means. I consider myself to be an easy-going person. If you want to make me laugh just crack a silly joke and you will probably have won me over. I am not very much of a dancer although I like listening to all kinds of music (well not all kinds). I am also a (not so skilled) bass player. I am interested in computers especially free software and linux related issues. I am a vegetarian mainly for ethical reasons, but I tell you it's no sacrifice at all :) I like to cook and I want to learn some new funky recipes to dazzle my friends (so please teach me). I am very keen on learning new things (on that subject I love the Internet). I am generally a positive person (not necessarily a positivist though) but I also have my f****d up days. I am an atheist. I don't believe the top-down approach of social organization that we have to be the best for Humanity, but as it stands it's what we have. I think education is the future. I think I' am dragging myself by now, so this is the end, just know this last fact: I don't blow-dry my hair.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I just take it as I go, not really having big plans layed out yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hosting and surfing, trying to learn and teach a bit about my "way of the ninja".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up until now I've used CS only in Japan. It was an excellent experience. My traveling group was really well received and treated by every host.

Interests

I am interested in lots of stuff. I like talking to people and listening to what they have to say, comparing their opinions with my own (when I have an opinion on the subject that is). Well I am also interested in such things as life in general, environmental issues, politics and their general lacking, science, ... I like soccer (I'm more about playing it than discussing the details), ping pong, chess. I am thinking about learning how to surf. I am interested in music listening and making.

Music, Movies, and Books

I guess I'm not a very exquisite person when it comes to this. I don't listen to the radio much as the more commercial pop music (and culture) is not very appealing to me. But other than that I like just about everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing (could it be)? Or maybe I don't really think I am experienced yet to answer that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach someone how to juggle, as it is one of my hobbies. I know about computers and programming, so I guess I can teach you some of it (might be a bit too boring for couch surfing though). I'd like to learn how to surf, home gardening, cooking, ...
