I’m into health and being healthy - in my mind, in my body and in my diet. Running is my main escape from office and I occasionally use Pilates/Meditation to relax. Have started dabbling in Crossfit ...its a challenge, but I really love such a supportive community 🙌

I enjoy meeting new people from all over the world, whether in my home city or when I’m off travelling. The best experiences are always borne from local people with local knowledge. I’m very open minded and enjoy trying new things - my ethos is to try everything once!

Rarely at home now, but happy to host people as and when I’m in the city, otherwise happy to hang out with likeminded travellers. When travelling or at home, I like to sit in the window of a coffee shop or pub and watch the world go by - or, if I have company, chat about everything and nothing ...trying to make sense of what is going on in the world :)

When hosting, I prefer people who don’t get offended if I walk around in my boxers and guests are welcome to do the same without judgement/discomfort. My home is your home and you should feel comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never hosted, but I've had some great advice off the forums and met some great people when travelling through Brazil - it gave me hope that you can trust strangers off the Internet and I'd like the opportunity to pay it forward.

When travelling, I also like to meet local people and learn about local cultures or share stories. It’s always good to get tips on the city I’m in, or countries I’m planning to travel to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Define 'Amazing' ...I have enjoyed so many unique experiences whilst travelling or through challenges I've set myself.

My favourite life moments so far have been cooking marshmallows over molten lava at the Papaya volcano in Guatemala, running the Loch Ness Marathon in Scotland, seeing Adele live in concert, experiencing Rio Carnival with local Brazilian people, meeting Ben & Jerry of ice cream fame, being shown the best birthday ever for my 30th in Hawaii by a group of total strangers!

When I have met people on my travels, I help them to improve their English and will help people in any way I can. Aside from this, I'm happy to help others in any way I can - from the most mundane activities to the most random!
