We are a happy, friendly and easy going couple. We have lived in various places around the world including New Zealand, Sweden, Australia, Canada and France and between the two of us have traveled to many more. We love meeting new people and seeing new places. We are flexible and very respectful of others and appreciate what a wonderful gesture it is to let someone stay in your home!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have only discovered CS since we have been traveling, so at this stage we haven't had a couch to offer! But we are looking very much forward to hosting visitors once we get a little more settled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We haven't had much experience through CS itself yet but we have both lived in various places around the world in shared household situations. We appreciate the little things that make cohabitation work well!

We lived in one particular shared apartment in Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia, which over the years became a bit of an open door to a lot of travelers from around the world. Meeting such great people really made the time wonderful and we made some fantastic friends along the way. (It's actually how we met in the first place!)

Interests

Surfing, swimming, the ocean, snowboarding, dance, surf lifesaving, nature/wilderness, hiking, biking, reading, good food, good coffee, good wine, good music, good conversations, photography, writing and performing music, audio engineering and music production, music for film/tv, film/documentary making.

We love books, movies and music. We especially love those that really make you think or change your previous perception of things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swum with dolphins, danced in national competitions, played with baby lions, rescued a stranger, performed live (solo) in front of a large crowd, taught a stranger something new, jumped from a helicopter, moved to a new place where I knew no one, mastered something that previously scared me silly, shared a beach with bears, sandboarded naked, swum 4km in open water, hiked for 25 hours nonstop, rescued a killer whale...

Teach, Learn, Share

Rich - I have a particular interest in the way we structure our societies and ways of thinking and how these affect the actual quality of our lives. I'm not impartial to a good philosophical, sociological, legal, psychological or political discussion!

Linda - I can make him be quiet if you don't want to hear about it...

But seriously - we love to share knowledge, interests and experiences with others and to learn from those of others.
