I have always loved to travel. I live in a small "old Florida " community on the gulf near Clearwater Florida. I married the nicest woman in the world 35 years ago and together we have traveled around most of the US, enjoyed the beauty and neighbors to the north and south of our borders many times, and have spent some wonderful days and evenings traveling around Europe together and with some great friends we have been fortunate enough to meet. Deb is a decorative painter, who has enjoyed her work for nearly 20 years and I have a few booths in a few antique shops in the area. We enjoy finding the treasures as much as we enjoy selling them. We love to visit areas that have vineyards and wineries and pair them up with good food and friendly smiling faces. We have a little hideaway near fredericksburg Va, in the woods on the banks of the Po river about an hour away from 3 of the cutest granddaughters anyone could ask for. As we are working on trying out this "retirement thing", we look forward to seeing new sights and hopefully sharing our space and stories with new friends from around the globe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Many of our most enjoyable travel experiences have been made possible by meeting or staying with the locals in those areas and finding the things that make the areas unique. We enjoy sharing our home, Tiki bar, and community with others.

Interests

We love eclectic art and people, fun food and libations, laughter keeps us both young for our ages. We are blessed with four great kids a grandson and 3 beautiful granddaughters.

Music, Movies, and Books

Products of the 60's and 70's and our taste in music hasn't changed much. Debbie enjoys reading mostly mysteries, while I (when time allows) enjoy more non-fiction. Lately, Netflix is about the only movies we watch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deb and I spent several weeks ago few years ago traveling around Europe and saw many beautiful sights and met some wonderful friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

We love to learn about the people and places we are fortunate enough to experience. As a former concierge at a large golf resort (on the PGA tour), I am pretty familiar with much of what our little bit of paradise has to offer and enjoying sharing that knowledge with our visitors.
