About Me

Hey I'm Richard 23 years old from Berlin. After spending more than a year in SE Asia I am now in New Zealand.
I like to meet new people and explore foreign cultures. Also I love food and cooking especially if there is somebody to share it with.
In general I'd describe myself as an easy going person. I like to be active, find new beautiful places, have long fun nights but also to just chill.
Really want to travel South America. Therefore I'd like to learn Spanish at some point as well as I'd like to improve my French, it used to be way better rn I can only remember the super easy basics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As much as I like to stay in hostels and meet new people there I feel Couchsurfing is a possibility to get to know a new place and it's culture even better cause either you stay with locals or somebody who has been living in the place for a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling through Vietnam by motorbike was probably one of the most amazing things I've done in my life. Just going wherever I wanted to go. Breathtaking views everyday. Driving through and stopping in small villages where everybody is smiling and waving at you, showing you do not need much to be happy.
Also walking 400km of the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrim way in Spain, was hell of an experience and great fun. I think at one point I want to do it again, starting in France and continuing all the way to Portugal.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides sharing my story and listening to yours I'm happy to cook for or with you. Go out together, have a beer and if you can't do it already, show you how to juggle.
