About Me

Currently traveling through the US from Houston to New York with my friend from home Moritz. We are both 20 and from a small city in the north of Germany and already travelled 5 months through Central and South America and will finish our journey in NYC. We are both quite new to Couchsurfing but we grew to love meeting strangers and fellow travelers during our months in South and Central America :D
We are both very interested in food and loved trying out all the different cuisines in all the different countries we visited. We also discovered that we really like hiking and the mountains during our long time in Patagonia and the Andes. Both of us are very outgoing people and love to chat for hours over a beer and maybe a nice card game, even though we can’t legally drink during our travels in the US :(
Our English is fluent and got even better throughout our trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Encountering stranger is one of the best ways to learn about and understand a country, the people and their culture. Furthermore it’s the more social and in-depth way of traveling which is almost always the better choice.

Music, Movies, and Books

From electronic, indie, hip hop and rock to metal, we listen to a lot of different Music together. I (Richard) grew to love reading during my travels, I talked like modern, sadly mostly German, novels but I also gave the classics like Kafka, Hesse and Fallada a chance. Mo currently watches Doctor House and loves The Witcher and Stranger Things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking and baking, I really miss my own kitchen from home, I can definitely try to show you some new dishes or techniques :) we are both very interested in sports, Mo loves basketball and the NBA, so let’s play a game together
