About Me
Back from .
Currently I live in a shared flat in the South of Berlin with my best friend (and a living room).
I'm Richie, working as a programmer now after finishing my studies in computer science in Berlin. I lived most of my life around Munich and did my Erasmus year in Lyon. For me, the people I meet and the stories I experience are the kind of wealth I want to earn. Starting (solo) travelling gave me many intense memories so far and was one of my greatest decisions. Nowadays, quite a lot of my travelling is done by bicycle and I will be on the road again throughout Belgium (and some neighbouring places in other countries) in July/August.
Doing sports myself is much more fun to me than watching professionals. Also, my (vegan) cooking is slowly getting to a point where I'm proud of most of my creations :D And I'm always keen on finding nice bars (usually student bars where you can approach new people easily), good beer, cool live music and arts.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I'm a big movie enthusiast and love films from all around the world, no matter how old or new. Focus on drama and rather artsy, experimental and weird films. My favourites in case anyone cares enough: https://letterboxd.com/melvelet/list/melvelets-favourite-movies-2021/
Music: Hippie music, Post-Punk, Synthpop, all kinds Rock, especially 60s-90s, Jazz
Books: Classical (modernist) books mostly, psychological and maybe philosophical focus. Kafka, Dostoyevsky, García Márquez
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Transformed from a shy and introverted person who preferred being alone and staying at home, only spending time with close friends to someone who loves to hang out a lot with (open-minded) people, gain new experiences and to see the world (not just physically but even more so in a metaphorical sense). Because the greatest things in life aren't the ones you can share on Instagram ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
Share my stories would be the most obvious thing. I don't think anyone wants to spend sufficient time learning basic programming while travelling :P
Also knowledge about cool places in Berlin (although there's probably still so much to discover for myself)
Countries I’ve Visited
