About Me
Hello there,
I'm Richard, a musicologist from Germany. I'm from the nice Rhineland and studying in Leipzig (The town of Bach and Wagner).
I'm usually not very good in describing myself and normally making an idiot out of me by trying to describe me. :P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning to write my bachelor thesis about American folk music since I'm the biggest Folk fan around in Leipzig.
So I'm planning to travel to New York City with Markus Axt, a freidn of mine whos also a splendid musician, a folk music fan and a trainee for audio visual media designer. I'm going to interview eye witnesses who saw Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and other folk legends live and already have a few interesting interview partners.
So we both are looking for someone with a spare space on the couch or floor in the Big Apple who is willing to let two young musicians sleep in his or hers flat.
We are both very genial and this is our first visit in the US.
Interests
Music, music and music!
I play guitar, bass, mandolin and some strange instruments like balalaika, when I'm not listening to music, I'm making some.
Otherwise I like to explore new cities and write songs.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really stuck in the 60s music. So Bob Dylan, The Band, The Beatles, The Zombies and Randy Newman are my favourite musicians. Mostly folk music or Rock/Blues.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain
