My name is Richard and I am going on my first solo bike packing trip across the country. I picked up biking seriously in May 2019 and since then, my outlook on life has changed drastically. I love meeting new people and sharing moments over beers and laughs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I will be embarking on my solo bike packing trip across the country in April 2020. I will be sleeping under the stars but I would also love to be able to stay with people (if they’re kind enough to shelter me :) and exchange stories with them over good food. I want to venture out into new territories to meet amazing and like minded people all around the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a solo backpacking trip from Tokyo to Kyoto in the winter of 2016. It was the first time I’ve done something like that and I’m proud of my past journey especially with conquering my hardships and getting that satisfying beer at the end of the day.

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I graduated uni in 2018, I’m more of a student now than I was in the past. Learning lessons through life and everyday is another opportunity to learn something new!
