About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get a feel for what couch-surfing is all about, meet some amazing people and be filled with gracious contentment
ABOUT ME
I work full time doing technical design and consulting for apparel companies. I'd prefer to spend my time hiking, reading or walking through new cities.
Most of my adult travel has been on motorcycle tours and while I was studying abroad in London during school.
I enjoy making puns and I'm pretty hands on and crafty. At home I spend my time reading, sewing, leather working (making belts and wallets mostly, some bike stuff), riding my bike and hanging out in one of Austin's many parks.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have too many roommates to host at the moment. I would love to start surfing ASAP. I'm a great guest, I'm respectful and love to have a good time. I can cook, clean, hammer, sew and drink my way into most peoples hearts. I'd love to help with any projects you have, that kind of engagement is so beautiful!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Still new to Couch Surfing, testing out the waters. I've been graciously invited in as a guest on several of my motorcycle tours and it's always been a beautiful thing. I know CS isn't as spontaneous but I'm eager to try.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: lots of documentaries
Music: lots of folk, post-rock
Books: lots of non-fiction or classics. I just finished Steinbeck's "East of Eden" and loved it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Shot a documentary about sea turtles on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. I make my own jeans, you can see them on my flickr account along with some other travel photos-http://www.flickr.com/photos/paleodenim/
Teach, Learn, Share
If you have a Crazy Creek chair, or an equivalent camp chair you can flip it upside down and place it under your knees while you sleep. This will help avoid hyperextending your knees and support your lower back on the hard ground.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well I can fix your sewing machine and tell you stories of greatly varying quality.
