Hello, i'm Richard, I'm currently travelling around the world for 202 days, I'll be in UK/Europe until September. Back home I've been working as a retail manager at a camping and outdoors equipment store. I live in an off grid campervan that I built myself and have been enjoying the vanlife full time for around a year and a half now.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

well, I like hostels, but couch surfing is potentially so much more interesting. I did a bit of couch surfing back in the day when it was free, I was in Philadelphia and it was such a great experience.

i'm interested in activism, environmental sustainability, music, guitar and song writing amongst other things. Politics, philosophy, all sorts of things.

I love going out to gigs, love the beach, parties and of course travelling!

here's a few hits from my eccentric life

broke into a coal fired power station with 27 Greenpeace activists and shut it down.
worked for a Federal Senator.
Backpacked around the USA with very little money.
Was a professional busker for 5 years, travelling and selling CDs
Built a van to live in, it's fully off grid and self built, 1200w solar, 8kwh lithium and quite nice if I do say so myself.
Started a worker coop cafe
The trip i'm on right now is pretty adventurous, i'm hopping country to country around the world for 202 days, i've been to Singapore, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Italy so far, currently i'm in the UK and will be working /living in a farmstay.
