About Me

I am a very easy going person who loves to explore and travel, as such I love to talk to just about everyone as this is the best way to get to know people. I also enjoy being in the outdoors doing literally anything, mainly hiking and exploring nature. I have literally no sense of style and can be seen walking around in snow in shorts. All in all, I just like to have fun and share the moments with people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet locals and get a real more in depth view of the city, or where ever I happen to be. I want to experience the place for what they really are, rather than what the tourist companies, what it to be seen as.

Interests

I have huge list of interests, must of them are connected with being in outdoors. So the likes of camping, hiking and kayaking. I am very keen on hiking or mountaineering spending days on end out in the wilds.
I am also really interested on travelling and discovering more about the world, meeting people from different countries. Learning about new cultures and there history is also something I really enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

I happily listen every genre of music, I do listen to a a lot of metal, that is what the joys of headphones is for. I am more than happy to listen to some classical or pop just to name a few, as well. Basically I like all music.

Movies

One of my all tie favourite films has to be In To the Wild or just about any Disney film. Yes I am very much a big kid and love watching The Emperors New Groove. Also a huge fan of the likes of Cloud Atlas,

Books

My all time favourite book is Sailing Alone Around the World by Joshua Slocum, a great book. I also enjoy reading about history of the world and where I happen to be

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Okay, so I think one of the the most amazing things that I have done is driven from the UK to Mongolia and back in 19 year old 1 litre Nissan Micra, whilst on en route visiting Turkmenistan and Iran.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can literally bore people for days with some of the stories I have from breaking down in the middle of a Kazakh desert to hitch hiking across Japan. I have also done so many different things with my life that I am more than happy to share some of my cooking skills. I love to learn new languages and found out about the local history of a place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am by no means the best chef in the world an world for that matter. I can certainly make up a few things though. I can share my love for travel, adventure and passion of learning through adventure. I also have countless stories from circumnavigating the globe.
