CURRENT MISSION

My goal is to live my life to the fullest and make every moment count. I try to live consciously, making the best out of every situation. After working in Malaysia for almost two years now, my goal is to move to my next country.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going person who loves to meet people from different places and background. I love to travel and experience new things, learn cool stuff and create memories. I love to eat and I'm trying to improve my cooking skills as well. I love the outdoors: beach, forest, mountain, historical and modern cities. I am passionate about life and living it.

I am a Filipino expat working in Kuala Lumpur. I am a Statistician by profession but I'm working as an IT consultant since.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a few that I try to live by but the most important for me is to recognize that life is short not to have a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met quite a few amazing people thru CS who are now my really good friends.

I've hosted a lot of times in KL but in an "unofficial" way because my very first guest who I met from CS introduced me to a friend and then this friend then introduced me to another friend and so on. So I ended up hosting a lot of people who are friends of friends (hence most of them don't have reviews here because I did not technically met them here but thru a common friend). I have friends who stayed with me multiple times because they make KL as their hub to travel within Malaysia and the rest of Asia. Flights are almost always cheaper to/from KL.

I've tried surfing once in Vietnam and I had a positive experience too. I've met and showed around travel friends in Manila as well.

Interests

I love to meet new people, there is something about others that fascinates me. Their stories, their cultures, their views, their experiences, their wisdom and their jokes. Meeting new people just enrich the experience of living and learning.

I am also interested in travelling, obviously. I like to travel as much as I can and if possible live in a city long enough to appreciate it.

I love food, I'm not very picky, I eat almost everything. I love a good adventure: a road trip, camping, clubbing or just hanging out for hours over beers and interesting stories.

I love social work. I am a founding member of a group who helps children in the Philippines. My friends and I started it 6 years ago and we've grown in numbers ever since. We normally help orphanages, sick children and children in remote areas. Helping people always bless you more than you bless them. It's an incredible feeling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I practically listen to all types of music. I listen to Coldplay, Nickelback, Red Hot, DJ Sammy, it's really a mix. My friend introduced me EDM as well and I like it the same way.

For books, I go for the non-fiction ones. I like leadership, self-help, Christian books to name a few.

For movies, I normally don't have the patience to watch movies but when I do, I always end up liking them. The latest ones I've seen would be Gone Girl, The Martian and Unbroken. I watch a lot of American TV series before like Friends and Suits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All my trips abroad are mostly solo and I always go back home with more friends! I think that is amazing.
