About Me
ABOUT ME
I always love learning new things and meeting new people. I studied physics at university, before becoming a fundraiser and then an app developer. I'm a very outgoing introvert. I'm always willing to try something new and I like to believe that I think things through for myself, rather than just believing and doing what I'm told. I believe that meeting new people, encountering new ideas, learning new skills and having adventures are some of the most important things in life.
Interests
I love listening to and playing music. I play the guitar, violin, piano and mandolin. I've never been naturally or technically great at any of them, but I really enjoy playing music with others and using music to control my mood. I like a large range of music, from folk to trip hop to jazz.
I read a lot of literature and really enjoy discovering the perspectives and ideas of the people that wrote classic books. I'm currently on a journey through as many modern (mainly US) classics that I can read; I'm currently deep in Steinbeck.
I recently started studying Spanish. I've achieved a basic level of proficiency and hope that I can use it a lot on my next trip!
I really like to hang out outside, whether it's trekking through some beautiful place or just chilling in the park.
Science and technology have always greatly interested me. I studied Physics at university and have more recently gotten into developing phone apps. I think that technology can have really positive (and negative) impacts on peoples lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've sailed on a ship down the epic fjords of Norway, with vast cliffs and dense forests jutting steeply from the water either side. I've also travelled a lot. The beautiful tranquility of the forests in the Bulgarian mountains where a hermit saint made his home and the middle eastern ambience of the call the prayer echoing across the domes, spires and rooftops of Istanbul at dusk both stand out on my memory, but it's difficult to think of times I was genuinely awestruck!
