ABOUT ME

Hi everyone,

my name is Richard and I am currently working in Pune, India. I love travelling and love to discover new places. Currently of course my Focus is on India and South-East Asia. I've visited nearly all European countries although I always discover something new :) I've been several times in India, worked and lived there and love the country and the people. Now I ended up again living and working in India, we will see how lang I will stay here. I also visited Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and plan to return there to see more. It's a fantastic region with an amazing cultural heritage, beautiful landscape and great people! Any questions, pls let me know :)
I used to do a lot of sailing in my free time, I also taught courses on howe to learn sailing at my university, so in summer I spent most of time on the water :) Littlebit difficult here in India, but I will Keep looking for some ways to go sailing here as well.
I love reading (if I have the time) and enjoy listening to music, especially Jazz, but I listen to basically everything.
I am very interested in foreign cultures, I like going to mueums and exhibitions and I also love theater and opera. This all keeps me quite busy :)
Well, that should give a short glimpse of my personality, I am helpful, open minded, adventurous when it comes to explore foreign countries but I also don't mind to chill a bit and relax. If you have any questions, just ask :)

PHILOSOPHY

I enjoy life and try to find a good balance between work and free time. There is no real philosophy, but I try to do the best of the time I have :)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I travelled through the US in 2014 I stayed with wonderful People and had my first couchsurfing experiences. I really enjoyed to get to know so interesting People and simply had an amazing time. I had also a lot of exchange students staying in my family during school time, we had people from all over the world and we kept in touch with them, so now I get friends of them to visit me and I visit friends of them, we help each other and I think that is basically the idea of couchsurfing, isn't it?

Interessen

I'm interested in sailing, museums, opera, theatre, politics, culture, music (especially Jazz), going to Bars, hangig out with friends....I'm always open for new experiences!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I guess that would be too much to mention all of it here...as I said, Jazz music, as well as classicla music is my favourite, but I am open to everything. I love science fiction and thriller books, basically everything except scientific papers (after 6 years I got bored of them) and as for movies I also like nearly everything, excpet probably horror movies.
