ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Richie, I have moved to London, from Auckland NZ, to be a free-lance Cameraman in the film and TV world. I love the outdoors, and also being creative, and also meeting new people - so I don't get much sleep! In the past I have been a Sailor, a student, a teacher, a traveler and a marine mechanic. In New Zealand I made some wicked friendships through CS! No doubt there will be many more in London to come!

PHILOSOPHY

Respect where you are, tread lighter on the earth. And try to make all decisions out of love, not fear.

*I have many more than 10 CS experiences!! I guess my friends and partners are always much better at using their phone than me, so we used their account not mine. I have CS in portugal, norway, france, switzerland, nepal, india, morocco, colombia

Not sure what this means exactly, but Im a jump right in kind of person so I'll go with: I like to participate! :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been part of CS for years now, and all the couch surfers I've met so far have been really fun to hang out with! Years later I realise some of my best friends are indirectly related to CS, because of the people you meet there are a lot of friendships that trace back to CS. The reason for me to CS is to meet new friends, and also when I'm travelling in a country that is not my own I want to know how it is like to live there and the local things that make that place how it is. That is travelling for me that is my kind of tourism.

Intereses

I'm interested in photography obviously as that's my job! But also adventure: wallking climbing exploring - Also I'm a sailor so I love almost anything about the sea including diving, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing and snorkelling.

Música, películas y libros

I love films, and appreciate all sorts. Favourite US directors are Cohen brothers and Paul Thomas Anderson. Love watching films outside under the stars with our projector and a pile of blankets!

I crossed the pacific from Seattle USA to Dunedin NZ in a sailboat. That was a hell of a ride
