About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Generally dedicated to mischief and all around good times.

ABOUT ME

I'm an actor and I run a small live performance theatre that consumes most of my time. I've lived in New Orleans for the past 8 years (arriving two days before Hurricane Katrina, yippee). When I can get away from the theatre I spend my time in quiet bars and walking around my beautiful city. I enjoy late nights just as much as quiet strolls and always have a good time whatever I do. I love making people laugh and making someone's day a little bit better and more interesting. Overall I'd like to think I'm pretty good company to be around. I started this profile for my suite of seven friends in college, but it's just used by me now.

I'm taking time off from my business and New Orleans to travel for the summer - it's been three years since I've had a serious adventure and I could use it!

PHILOSOPHY

Do what makes you happy, but never at the expense of the happiness of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host almost every week, but I haven't had the time or room recently. I still regularly show people around and give recommendations, usually to traveling performers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a pair of great gents from Germany for a few days when I was still in my college dorm. We had a blast. When I lived in the French Quarter my roommates and I hosted multiple people a week (through their profile). Have met a ton of surfers who've come to New Orleans and stayed with my friends, and couchsurfed myself on a road trip in California, and during a trip across the South West. I love taking travelers on a tour of all my favorite dive bars in New Orleans.

Interests

I spend an enormous amount of my time married to the theatre, acting mostly. I grew up equal parts reading, playing video games, and exploring the woods. I enjoy a good drink, though I'll settle for a bad one without much hesitation. I've done glass blowing, which is awesome because it can kill you. I like harmless fun, pumpkin pie, rum, laid back people, thunderstorms, and too many other things to even begin to mention.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a fan of most kinds of music and tend to judge song by song, and not genre by genre...then again, country and rap don't often grace my speakers.

Movies: Donnie Darko, Fight Club, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Princess Bride

Books: Dresden Files series, Lord of the Rings, Ishmael

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiked from New Orleans to San Diego a few yearsback. That's a good start.
Bought a cheap boat on a whim, fixed it up, sailed it for three weeks around the gulf coast. Everything went great until the rudder fell off, not our fault!

Countries I’ve Visited
