About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover my long-term goals in this crazy thing called life.

ABOUT ME

Hello, we are Hannah and Richard, thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit more about us!

Currently, Hannah my girlfriend (https://bit.ly/2KaaUzs) and I are traveling through South America for 6 months+ in July 2018. We're not restricted by time, mainly budget so we'd love to network and use sites such as Couchsurfing, not only to extend our travels for as long as possible but to truly get in under the skin of the countries we're visiting. We wish to learn new languages, connect with great people and not only make new friends but long-term connections with families and people we have the grateful opportunity to stay or work with.

We plan to make this our trip of a lifetime, by blazing a trail of dust from our travel bags and leaving the rat race to experience everything and anything this world has to offer us.

We’re both outgoing, friendly and humorous companions and look forward meeting new people, traveling to interesting and unique places.

A little bit about Richard:

Originally born in England, my family and I moved to sunny Australia in 1991, so I'm lucky enough to have two passports which are great for traveling! I also hold a Bachelor Degree in Media and ultimately pursued a career in Software & I.T, working for various companies in Sydney. At the moment, I work for a start-up company as the Customer Success Manager and I wish to one day start my own business, I'm not sure what I'll sell or offer yet but it will be something I'm passionate about and it will aim to help people in some way shape or form.

I have a bald head but it's a good shape so I'm lucky! My friends and family call me Googie (like an egg) or Cheese Monkey (My Super Hero name...pretty lame super-hero but that's the joke) I also go by Ricardo, Rich, Richy and Tricky Ricky.

- Non-Smoker
- Enjoys Exercising and being healthy.
- I like Cats & Dogs.
- Trying new foods.
- Meeting new people.
- Telling jokes and making people laugh.
- I am clean, tidy & respectful of other things and people.
- Good listener.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to become more involved in the CS community, for my up and coming South America trip. I like to meet new people with similar tastes and interests and can contribute by offering friendship, English language skills, cooking and sharing meals!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with a lovely lady in Krakow in Poland for 1-2 nights several years ago. She showed up around the city and we have fun socializing at her apartment, listening to music and eating together with her friend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2011 I work in France for 5 months as a Chalet Host for a Ski Tour company. Every day we worked to entertain guests while cooking, cleaning and attending to their needs, (after all it was their holiday) It was hard work but I look back on that time as one of the best experiences of my life. When we weren't working during the day, everyone was out enjoying the snow and the French Alps!
