Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making the world a sustainable place and giving positive energy to all.
ABOUT ME
I have enjoyed traveling to nearly 60 countries in my life (I left the corporate world to travel for 1 year in 1999-2000). I then started a sustainable packaging business (www.DistantVillage.com) which has been a tremendous amount of work, but it is also a labor of love. Whenever I can, I love to be outside, moving, exploring, exercising. More than anything, I enjoy sharing a coffee, meal, snack with friends or family and talking about life.
PHILOSOPHY
Love all, harm nobody.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started with CS (since 12/2011) and stay on couches as I travel (I am always in Europe, Asia, and USA for my work) and look forward to hosting CS's too. I plan to get involved with the local Chicago CS community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been a great way to meet new, interesting, international people. It allows me to continually get the world travel thrill of meeting people from all over the world.
Interests
I had a great first experience CS in Guangzho China with my CS friend Ana Maria. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
I work a lot, so there is not a lot of time to go to movies but love these movies Elf, il Postino, Lord of the Rings, The Gods Must Be Crazy, Fellini, The Sixth Sense, and lots of documentaries (e.g., Food, Inc.)
I love all music - to me there are only two types of music, good and bad. I enjoy all styles of music.
I read a lot of non-fiction books about business leadership, sustainability, spirituality and positive thinking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most challenging has been to grow a company from the ground up. But for fun, I will tell you - I have eaten live ants in the jungles of Ecuador. But the most amazing thing is the miracle of life - really!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am experienced as a successful person in the corporate world (strategy and business development in a major USA company), traveling the world (almost 60 countries), and starting up and running a successful sustainable packaging business. I enjoy sharing and learning with others.
