Hello,

My name is Richie, and I’m from Ireland.

I've couchsurfed in a few countries including Turkey, Iran and Scotland, and really enjoyed the experience of getting to know locals and making friends from various parts of the world, and getting to know the local cultures. I also enjoy getting to know the place I go to from the perspective of locals and getting to experience common experiences of other countries/cultures that might be quite different from my own experiences.

Apologies I cannot really host at the moment, its just not really suitable for myself and my partner at the moment unfortunately, but hopefully I might be able to host in the future.

To tell you a little about myself I have two degrees and am currently doing a third, all in psychology and philosophy. My professional background is in project management and in mental health.

My passions are reading, writing, film photography, art, travelling, exploring new cultures and having new experiences.

I have a passion for both countryside and city exploration. I'm up for most new experiences, wouldn't consider myself a huge party animal or anything, but I am always up for socialising or trying something new.

I enjoy conversation and socialising, but at the same time I can be relatively quiet, and quite considerate of others.

I suppose that sums me up :-).....

I would like to couchsurf to meet people who are local to the area and maybe to do some culture swapping, and just learn from those who live in the area.

But I am quite open to what the experience of couchsurfing might be, if a host had some free time it would be really cool to interact and maybe explore places or socialize. But if a host was busy or just a little more reserved I would be respectful of that. So I'm quite open regarding expectations.
