Hi there, amazing peeps!

I'm Richie, born and raised in the bustling heart of Indonesia around 23 years ago, I've embarked on some adventures through Bali, Jogja, Solo, and beyond.

After high school, I dove into the working world (my first job was being a waiter in a Japanese restaurant 🍜), and thanks to my previous company's WFH policy, I made the bold choice to become a digital nomad 👨‍💻. Currently, I'm on an academic journey, chasing a bachelor's degree in economics. But from September 2023 to February 2024, I'm going to trade economics for computer science (just for a semester tho) at the University of Padua, Italy 🇮🇹

As for finding my groove in life, I'm still dancing to the rhythm of self-discovery. One thing I'm pretty sure about is that I'm a good communicator and a keen listener. You may spot me in three of my happy places: gliding through the swimming pool 🏊‍♂️, scrolling through some random music playlist 🎼, and, of course, dancing my heart n body out 🕺. Speaking of music, if you have any favorites, please, do share – I'm always up for discovering new tunes and grooving to them.

One fun fact about me though: No matter where I find myself in Europe, you migh spot me hunting down some hot chocolate, or a long black with an extra double shot, and/or of course some muffins in town 🍫

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm planning to have a journey across Europe, both academically and adventurously. Over the next five months, I aim to make every moment count by exploring as much of this diverse continent as possible, focusing on the budget-friendly gems, of course!

My dream is to witness the ethereal beauty of the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, and savor the simple joys of Paris – from its rich, hot coffee and velvety hot chocolate to the mouthwatering indulgence of pain au chocolat. These experiences are more than just items on a checklist; they're the dreams of my childhood, that definitely can make life memorable.

By connecting with the Couchsurfing community, I hope to not only find welcoming hosts along the way but also forge genuine connections with people who share my passion for exploration. Once I've ticked off these two bucket-list adventures, I'll be ready to redefine my life goals for the exciting years ahead. Who knows what's next?
