About Me
ABOUT ME
love to travel and meet new people. I enjoy learning about a variety of things: discovering something new thrills me. I am a friendly and outgoing individual and am always willing to try new things. After all, how do you know if you'll like something without trying it? This is why I travel. It allows me to encounter new personalities, try new activities, and experience new customs.
I especially love outdoor adventure. I am currently trying to replace my west coast adventures with Ontarian equivalents. The most promising of these are slacklining, forest running, river kayaking, and rock climbing.I particularly enjoy all sorts of sports, biking, running, camping, rock climbing, and hiking.
I also enjoy games, cooking, or just visiting, particularly with great food and drink. I am a great cook and dislike eating alone.
When I come to stay with you, I want to see how you live. Please, show me your customs, your friends and family, and your activities. This is why I travel.
PHILOSOPHY
By developing relationships around the world, exploring my passions, and innovating and trying out new ideas I am happy, motivated, and enjoy life.
George Mallory (possibly the first person to climb Everest, no one knows because he never came back) said, "We don't live to eat or make money, we eat or make money to live and enjoy life." It is very important, and difficult, to remember this perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
have hosted people in the past and host whenever I can convince my roommates it will be a good experience. I have loved showing visitors the local gems of my area
I have stayed with foreign and Canadian CSers and loved the experience.
I also like hanging out with the local CS group when I move/visit a new place. It's a great way to find friends who like the same things and know the best places to go.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great! I love this website. It is so much better to stay with the locals. You get to meet new people and better appreciate the culture. I have surfed in parts of East Africa .

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like documentaries and true stories where I feel I've learned something. If not this, then I like movies which make me laugh.
Music: I enjoy listening to folk, blues, indie, electronic, and dubstep.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bungee jumped off a 111m high bridge into a raging canyon behind me. What a rush and an excellent way to sustainably enjoy the world!
I have also gone on a safari in the serengeti, jumped off waterfalls and cliffs, swam with dolphins in the amazon,
Teach, Learn, Share
I am trying to learn guitar and spanish. If you want to stay at my couch and are into these things, I'd love to learn from you!
