ABOUT ME

[Je parle/Ich spreche/hablo/io parlo] pantomime perfectly!

I spent much of my 20s traveling and performing shows around Asia and Europe. I got married and my wife likes to travel ...more comfortably. I realize I haven't done a true European tour since 1993.

I am a professional juggler who aspires to be a clown. As of 2014, I am currently transforming my art into the physical comedy realm and am writing a new show. I am also working on a novel, which parallels that journey. As such, many of my evenings will be spent in Summer 2014 out at the night life areas of your town. I tend to work when other people are out playing. (Their play is my work.)

I've been working on my art skills over the last few years and have had a few public exhibitions. I always like to bring humor to my art.

My cats, dog and wife keep me busy, but they are allowing me to travel in summer of 2014.

PHILOSOPHY

I love nature. The grass, soil and rocks beneath my bare feet are spiritual to me. That contact of my skin to the Earth's skin make me feel connected to the wind, the sky, the trees. I love staring upward at the night sky, knowing this giant world I stand on is but a speck of dust in the vast cosmos.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to meet new people, see what adventures they can bring. I try to be helpful and I think if I were a superhero, my power would be the supernatural ability to get out of the way.

I welcome any couchsurfer host to come see me work in the evenings. Since I am writing a new show, the shows in June will be rougher.
I know my schedule will be very different from most people with "normal" jobs, but I really hope to interact as much as I can with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couchsurfing.com, but I have been guest in many a home during my travels. Some have been great experiences, Some have been frightening. I like to think I have become a much better at identifying the good ones.

Interests

I enjoy politics, religion, silent films, art, nature, running, languages and travel. I am a professional clown, comedian, juggler and theatrical producer.

I jumped out of an airplane.
I was a stiltwalker for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

(I am extremely acrophobic.)

I can teach most people to juggle in 10 minutes.
I also teach drawing and painting.
I have been getting interested in ropes and knots.
