ABOUT ME

Always difficult these things ... but, I am a genuine & down to earth person who loves meeting new & interesting people.
I also love exploring new horizons .. so much that Travel really has become a way of life for me. Since 2002 I have split my time between Australia & China.
I'm a true conversationalist - most comfortable in one to one situations or small groups.
I definitely believe 'getting there' is as much a part of any experience as 'arriving' at the destination/goal.
And .. I do enjoy a laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

To see as much of the world as possible. To keep experiencing/exploring new things/cultures, meeting new people & expanding my network of friends.
My greatest wish (unfulfilled) would be that (ok, aside from world peace, etc) all the great people/friends I've met lived in the same place I do - but when you often travel thats just not going to happen, is it?

Absolutely keen to meet other people and host, meet for coffee, drink .. or take you to my favorite Chinese Restaurant, whether in Melbourne or Beijing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A traveler since my late teens, I've been couch surfing and hosting other travelers almost as long. When I'm traveling, for me there's nothing quite like meeting local people & getting an insiders feel on any new place. OK, we all love to stay in swanky 5-Star hotels ... but there's nothing more real than staying/spending time with local people.

Photography, Art, Live Music, Movies, Yoga, Hiking, Bike Riding , Travel (of course), Horse Racing ... drinking Coffee & eating Cake .. trout & freshwater fishing, and driving my 1969 Chrysler in the Australian 'Outback'

Love Rock Music .. grew up listening to Indie & Alternative, but also occasionally deviate to harder edged and commercial rock. Love other styles as well .. electronic, classical, country!
