About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find a place to call my own and buy a pickup

ABOUT ME

This is Max, set to get to know more and more beautiful people, lands and things in this world.

I studied philosophy and politics, now I work as a freelance journalist in print and radio. I have been travelling 14 months in south and central america with a special focus on argentina and columbia, god they're beautiful.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to stick to the golden rule, which should be enough for everyone to get along with everyone else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm used to be an active member of the Birmingham CS Community, I travel and keep my mind open...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like the fact that the CS communities make many formerly lonely hosts less lonely. I like how CS brings people closer together without forcing anyone to anything. And I like the win/win situation of not having to pay for hotel rooms while getting to know the places better by having reliable local guides who are as interested in you as you are in them.

Like everyone else I got HBOed. Watched most of their stuff, constantly craving more.

Edit: started again, murakami, dave eggers (literary hero of mine) franzen, safran foer, hemingway, vonnegut, heinlein, eugenides and other folks. it´s good to read again
edit: got into graphic novels, pictures facilitate...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

walking to macchu picchu on a 4 day trip on an alternative route following just the indication of a letter to one of my fellow travellers. then breaking into macchu pichu and hiding in the jungle, being caught and thrown out, totally ruined my boots

Teach, Learn, Share

Beginner in most. But I'll share whatever I know. Guitar maybe. And I'm one of those people who give great advice but rarely follow them

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Venezuela
