About Me

CURRENT MISSION

meet everybody in bristol

ABOUT ME

I'm 23 years old. I've spent the last five years studying medicine but i'm currently taking a year out to study philosophy and literature.

I find myself getting interested in all sorts of different things, when somebody i meet is passionate or excited about something i often find myself catching on.

PHILOSOPHY

Be quick to smile and slow to judge

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently moving between friends places in bristol but hopefully when I am settled I will be able to start having people. Still keen to meet up to hang out, go on walks or whatever.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As well as meeting a lot of couch surfers in Sheffield who stayed with a good friend, I surfed for an incredible week in Berlin - I stayed with an amazing host and hung out with some other cool friendly folks at CS meet ups.

Interests

I think i've always like exploring, whether its the interesting bits of a city, the great outdoors or music and art. Most of all i suppose I have a bit of a fascination with how other people live their lives and love hearing stories and getting to stuck in to how they do things.

I think that the issues of social justice, human rights and environmentalism are intrinsically linked with medicine and want to work towards a world where social and phsycial well being is a reality for everybody.

I love riding my bike around, climbing trees, urban exploration, photohgraphy and dancing to music made by people who love making it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sheffield taught me to love dancing to electronic music - particularly techno, but I also love live music, particularly balkans-influenced gypsy folk and punk.

I also like live poetry. Generally, if the performers are into it I get into it too.

I saw Man on Wire again recently and really love that film, and recently re-read catch-22 which is one of my favourite books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always loved the beauty of animals and so safari in africa was a pretty high point.

the few times i've been far enough from the light of big cities to stare up and appreciate the vastness and beauty of the milky way

swimming under the stars in dark, warm inky waves bathed in the magical glow of bioluminescent plankton

hitching across europe form sheffield to croatia threw up a lot of once in a lifetime experiences and encounters

Teach, Learn, Share

The most useful thing I could teach would be photography.
I think the great thing about photography is you can have cheapest simplest camera in the world or a really expensive one and still have loads of fun taking pictures of the things you do.

I can juggle and a surprising number of people i've met want to learn that. I'm also ok at simple bicycle maintenance.

I'm also really interested in philosophy and while it's not something I would teach am always keen to talk about philosophy, psychology, science, religion and those sort of issues with people.
