About Me

I have just moved into Sydney (January 2023) for university so if anyone would like to meet up then please message me :) I am mostly free but sometimes busy, so just chuck me a message!

After travelling a bit around the world, I realise that I like to do things that make me feel like I am actually living my life...

CURRENT MISSION:
Moving to Sydney for studies, finishing my degree, maybe finding a job. We'll see where it goes from there...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After being here for a while, I am definitely looking for those unique experiences and adventures which you cannot get anywhere else. Shamefully I also have to say that CS allows me to travel low budget as well, though that is only secondary.

I am also trying to give back to the CS community after being hosted by so many amazing individuals and meeting so many wonderful people. So if you drop by where I am, I would definitely be down to invite you to share a meal together and/or potentially host you. Just let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books

music:
I enjoy familiar music, so I normally listen to songs as 'background music' without even realising it. But when I am selective with my music, I have a couple of preferred genres: pop, reggaeton, etc.

Books:
I don't really read that much nowadays, but my preferred genre is definitely dystopian fiction. E.g. 1984, Lord of The Flies, Never Let Me Go, Clockwork Orange, Brave New World.

Movies:
I don't really watch anything but occasionally I may watch some movie or series in a foreign language. Also, because I'm a kiwi, I've watched Lord of The Rings already :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Haven't done anything that impressive, but here are some things which I consider pretty awesome:
Hitchhiking more than 500km across Taiwan
Hitchhiking nearly 1000km across Japan
Climbing the tallest mountain in Korea
Walking the Tokaido from Kyoto to Nagoya (5 days, ~130km)
Backpacking the world solo for 8 months in 2022 o after graduating high school

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
English? Or if you would like I could explain any strange skills that I have such as solving a Rubiks cube of any size or some cool maths tricks that you can do to impress your friends

Learn:
I would be open to learn anything but bonus points if you are willing to teach me a little bit of your native language(s)

Share:
Anything, ask away please

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer good companionship and conversation. I can probably also help you with any chores; I unfortunately am unable to cook however.
