About Me

I'm a travelar, well i hope to be. Im a lover, of my lovely girlfriend / best friend and wife: Laura. With her I have been traveling around the world since 18/11/2019 Just started by train from the Netherlands.
Okay from the start: When we didn't know each other yet, I studied to eventually help people with mental and psychological problems. I have now graduated for 4 years and I work as a planner at a funeral company. This is not something I want to do all my life, sooo we had to make a change.
In 2016 we went to Nepal, this country has stolen our hearts and since then we want nothing more than to return. Now we are going to do that, we have canceled everything and our house no longer exists as '' our '' house. After saying '' YES '' to eachother on 20/09/2019, we went to live with our parents for another month to prepare ourselves totally.

CORONA got involved, so we had to make a drastic decision to come back. After another 3 months with my parents, we build our own home on wheels. Our Dobby the free fiat doblo. And currently exploring Europe 🌎

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Were want to be independent, so right now Laura’s is using here yogaskills to start here own online yoga school, I’m busy with a course and learn to life in nature. But we don’t wanna be alone so using the couchsurfweb / friendly farmers / nature and you. Our tents are with us, so a piece of garden is enough for us.
In addition to being dependent on each other, we also want to get to know different cultures/people. The reason that we want to travel as far as possible over land is because we want to experience / feel and taste the cultures. Not by taking the plane and imagining yourself in a completely different world, but by discovering and meeting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2019 we walked a 2 week trip of 285km from the north to the south of the black forest in Germany. With blisters on our feet and completely broken we arrived, but this was one of the greatest victories ever for Laura and me. In addition, we did a 5-day canoe trip in Sweden in 2017. This was self-sufficient and nature is beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you can mainly learn from experiences, big or small. Be bold, be like: Eric Cantona

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show pictures and maybe nice stories about the things that you have experienced. But above all I can of course tell a lot about life in the Netherlands, what is the difference with your country? Learning a lot from each other seems to me to be paramount.

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, France, Georgia, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Nepal, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey
