ABOUT ME

I'm 33. I've worked in the renewable energy industry for 10 years now (in 3 separate countries nonetheless). I own a solar company in Denver, Colorado. I’ve been fortunate to travel to at 58 countries at this point.

I'm pretty outgoing. I've traveled a decent amount and I always like to meet new people. I'm trying to experience as much as I can and help as many people as I can before I kick the bucket. I'm very big on sustainability, conservation, botany, film, and the applications of renewable energy. I enjoy conversations of all kinds and I love hearing everyone's individual story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve traveled a decent amount and I’ve met incredible people through out the world. Traveling can be exhausting and it’s good to give and receive support wherever, however, and whenever you can

I also love to host and attend hangouts whenever I can. I've met and hosted surfers in Philadelphia and Denver.

Interests

I enjoy long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, sunset cruises.........no but really, I'm big on movies, music, and good conversations.

I used to row in university and I'm big on rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and challenging myself with. I'm generally healthy aside from the fact that I like to go out for a drink here and there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, I like Radiohead, Coltrane, Jamie Cullum, Nas, Sigur Ros, Ray Lamontagne, Incubus, Mumford and Sons, Lotus, Sufjan Stevens, Common, Atmosphere, Explosions in the Sky, Tycho, John Butler Trio, Nujabes, Etc. I spend too much of my money going to shows, because live music is my favorite.

I love all kinds of Movies as well. I'm a huge huge movie junkie. I love anything by Guillermo Del Toro, Wes Anderson, Takashi Miike, Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, and Miyazaki. I'm a MAJOR animation fan and I grew up on Princess Mononoke and Ninja Scroll. I love art in all mediums.

I read a decent amount as well, I'll read anything from the Song of Ice and Fire series, Paulo Coelho, Erik Larson, James Clavell, Tim Ferriss, Malcolm Gladwell, Neil Gaiman, etc. but I don't necessarily enjoy bios. I really enjoy fiction, both fantasty and historical.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did 115 Km of the Camino de Santiago in 3 days. I road a mountain bike from Darjeeling, India to Kathmandu, Nepal, I took a motorcycle down Viet Nam, I hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal in 10 days (lonely planet puts it at 18 days), among other things. I like to trek above everything. I still need to do the Milford Track! Top on my list is completing the entire Appalachian Trail.

Teach, Learn, Share

Beyond anything, I think it's important for people to gain perspective on themselves and others. Treat others how you want to be treated; that's my religion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've had a great couch surfing experience with everyone I stayed with and whose stayed with me. I'm a damn good cook (if I do say so myself) and usually like to do a big dinner with someone I'm staying with or whoever stays with me. I'm Italian, I can't help it.
