About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be the reason for people to still have faith in humanity.

ABOUT ME

-Can't host currently-

I grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia as one of the 10 million inhabitants. I moved to Germany when I was 17 to a city called Saarbruecken, which is now my second hometown. And I lived as well in Malta, a country I'm deeply in love with.

I really love cooking any kind of food. I think it is what I'm good at and how I release negative energy in me. I feel more relaxed and happy after eating the food I cook by myself.

I happen to love and am quite good at learning languages. People often say I'm great at writing and they convince me to start writing, which is my project at the moment. I'm now looking for inspiration of what to write about. I'm good at grammar in English and in German.

I am not a religious person, but I am spiritual. I always say "excuse me! Thanks!" while taking a pee on a tree so that I at least show some politeness to the "dweller" of that tree I pee on. I believe that some people are connected. Have you watched the series Sense8 on Netflix? It is insane I finally realize I am not alone in this world. Sometimes I feel unreasonable pain on my body or hear stuff that other people don't hear. I strongly believe I am connected to someone from the other parts of the world.

I'm gay and I'm open for friendships with everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really have met amazing and good-hearted people from this site. It is also a good tool if you just move to a new city because the community is very big now and each city has a kind of CS meeting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love techno, house, jazz, traditional music of any countries, and soul. I also like alternatives like The XX.

I like to read but not books. I like reading articles or travel guidebooks or brochures... but not books. However, I think Paulo Coelho's Veronica Decides to Die is so great.

I love watching movies! I sometimes love a movie because of the storyline and sometimes because of the acting. Here are my favourite ones:

1. In Bruges
2. Her
3. Away We Go

I watch series as well. My favorites are Being Human (BRITISH VERSION!!! not the American one), Looking, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Orange is the New Black, Master of None, Archer and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I saw a cow with 5 legs. The fifth leg grew on its back. No photo unfortunately.

-In high school I was very engaged in the debating club and I made it to the top 10 to be qualified as Jakarta debate team. Didn't make it because I was on 7th place, but still, being the 7th best debater in a city with 10 million inhabitants is a big thing I guess

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course I can teach Indonesian, the slang and the proper Indonesian :) And also German, how to make curry, peanut sauce, fried rice or noodle. I can make some cocktails too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my positive energy and smile, childhood stories of mine, my opinions about the world we live in, etc. I am good at cooking so I can always share the food I cook :D

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand
