This is Ricky from Taiwan. I'm a easy going person who is also full of stories to tell. I like to share my life experience and stories with people. It is really interesting to be here meeting people from everywhere and different culture. Here's some more points about me that might helps you to get to know more about me.

Hiking and mountaineering
I was quite a traveler before the Covid-19 pandemic, I've been to Europe, North America, Brazil... like 20 countries. During the pandemic, I started to do some summit hiking in my country as we are full of mountain resource here. I started loving the nature and mountains from then and I spent more and more time in the mountain. And now mountains does really special meanings to me and I wish to travel do different places to see more mountains. And this is also the main reason for me to travel now.

Triathlon
I started my first triathlon 2 years ago in Taiwan. As I do swim, cycling and jogging daily. Triathlon become a big thing for me every year. And I'm glad that this year I've registrated my first Triathlon out of my country which is the Mont Blanc Triathlon in Passy. So looking forward it!!!

Design and architecture
I was graduated from architecture feild. What I like in architecture is not the cool or special shaped building, but the building or the urban plan that really interactive with human beings. Old building and how it remain in our new gerneration is also one of my favorite issues in architecture. I have some partner or friends who work really well in the feild in Taiwan. If you're also someone in the feild we could exchange lots of info about different project and experience.

Language
I like to learn different languages and find interesting relations between them. The way I like to in contact with a language is to get to know the culture and the people in it. That's why I'm on Couchsurfing, to meet more people, culture and also improve my language!

Photography
I do photography for already like 10 more years. I have experienced different period in my photography creer. Now I do more like landscape photography to record my expedition. I do also portrait and architecture photography.

Cuisine and cooking
I love a lot cuisine and cooking!!! I do lots of Taiwanese cuisine and also cuisine from different places. If you have a chance to host me and you also have a kitchen, then you will have a lot of chance to enjoy different types of cuisine. I do really delicious Paella and Tortilla de Patatas if you love them!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm back to Couchsurfing because I'm giving myself a big plan this year. It's not just travel like a tourist as I used to do, but trying to explore more mountain areas and routes deeply. My first destination will be The Alps, then will be The Andes.
