Overview
About Me
I'm a trail runner whenever and wherever I can be. It's the reason I moved 5 years ago to my current location of Idyllwild, CA -- a four-seasons mountain town with dozens of trails within a feet feet or miles of my home, which is a tiny cabin, perched among the pines on a mountainside and snuggled up against a national forest. When I'm home, my lunch break often includes a 200-foot scramble up the hill out back and onto Ernie Maxwell Trail, which connects to many other local trails, which connects to the Pacific Crest Trail.
As a freelance writer, I usually work from home, or from the nearest wi-fi enabled coffee house if I'm on the road. I also do web consulting.
In a former life (my 20s), I directed hundreds of stage plays and acted in a couple thousand in a repertory theater company. In another former life (my 30s) I directed a few low-budget feature films and sold one screenplay.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy road-tripping to explore new-to-me towns and old favorites. With an irregular income, I'll often car-camp it, or seek out locals to make the trip more memorable and, of course, to get a shower before heading out on the road again. :) I look forward to meeting you! :)
