Overview
About Me
Hello! As you can read, my name is Ridley, and I am an American crossing the pond for the first time. I am traveling with my friend, Cassie Rhame (right in photo)(she also has a couchsurfing account) all across Europe. My interests are hiking, running, photography, and going to museums. I also like beer and EDM. I also love to cook and eat. Let me roll you some sushi. I would love to hang out and go somewhere local to enjoy music and the local scene.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always wanted to globe-trot around Europe and this was the perfect time to do so before starting my next phase into school. I recently graduated with a BS in Environmental Science and GIS studies, and plan on continuing my education into graduate school after my gap year has ended. I love meeting new people and exploring cultures, so why not do it with new friends and go with the flow?

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Arcade Fire, Phoenix, Blink-182, Skrillex, Kendrick Lamar, Diplo, Nahko Medicine For The People, Bob Marley... I have a broad taste in music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have written an undergraduate thesis, and spent a month doing field research in the Sonoran Desert. This project consisted of surveying the desert landscape of saguaro cactus, and determining whether they collectively demonstrate a regional pattern based of age and health demographics. This was my biggest accomplishment in my undergrad, and I was able to present my findings in various scholar symposiums across the southeast United States.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am conversational in: French, Creole and Spanish. I know how to cook Thai, roll sushi, and perform interpretive dances (just kidding, but I can stop, drop, and roll). I also teach and tutor in Math, Science, and English.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, clean, and provide conversation about my studies and culture. If anyone is interested, I also read tarot cards, and can determine what your aura looks like for the day.
