It is difficult to choose between the pub and outdoor live. I like as much drinking wine as I like sailing, skating, dansing, hiking...
Anyway I think there is to much to do for one lifetime.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Amsterdam's tourist city area is not the right and best way to see and know how live in amsterdam is.
The same probably for me when I arrive as a tourist somewhere else.
My experience so far shows that we can see so much more by giving nice information, help, hospitality to each other.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did a lot of couchsurfing and had lovely experience. Last year I was unable to have quests or surf so I had a break. Unfortunately I received invatations which I didnt reply in time, so that brought my reply rate down to 68%. No worries, I am back in and you wil receive an reply fast enough!

I read everything, only it has to be a bit easy going, no heavy litterature.
