Hi!

My name is Rieka, I'm originally from Germany but now live in Scotland to work in Wildlife Conservation/the protection of whales and dolphins. I love my job as the outdoors mean everything to me, nothing better than sitting on a cliff for hours trying to watch out for Orcas or Rissos or Minke Whales. Even better with a glass of wine in your hand of course!

I'm not very good in writing something about me, I guess it's always easier to just meet in person :)

I have lots of favorite books though I don't read that much to be honest. I love H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald, I loved Beneath the Surface by John Hargrove as well. 'Nausea' by Jean-Paul Sartre is one of my all time favorites as well as existentialism fascinates me and I can relate to it very well.

Also in my free time I sometimes try to write some literature myself. Most of the time it doesn't work out that well but its still definitely a part of me!

Well, I thought I had spotted a brown bear once. That was one amazing thing I've done, until I realized it actually just was a piece of wood.

I love to cook and am especially focussed on vegan and vegetarian stuff. Also I love baking cakes, muffins and every other kind of sweets and am always happy to share it with others.
