COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with a brother of someone I met while working on the Florida Trail. He lived in Fort Lauderdale. I just couldn't handle the big city, had to ge back to the woods. For 3 months I lived on a matress in the living room of a high school friend, and apparently I was such a good and clean couch-surfer, that when he lost his roommate, I upgraded to a bedroom :)An acquaintance met on the Florida Trail invited me to visit her and her family in Connecticut, where we couch-surfed a few places including Vermont and Boston.Another acquaintance met through the Florida Trail Crew let me stay a couple days with him in Flagstaff, AZ on my way back home from Florida. This was a noteworthy stay because he took me on my first bouldering experience in Sedona!
Interests
God, music, and love. Hiking, camping, backpacking, playing guitar, singing, writing music, lots of reading, and I love meeting people one on one for coffee. I love the outdoors, roughing it, breathing fresh air and walking around barefoot. I love beaches, water, ocean and mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite band: The Civil Wars, Favorite Movie: Gladiator. Favorite Music: Anything melancholy or acoustic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove across the United States alone from my hometown in Washington State to Florida, where I spent 6 months living communally with a trail crew.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share music for hours, how to play, how to sing, where music comes from and what it does to the soul. I have carpentry experience although that might be a tad boring, and I love computers and technology so sharing information on that never stops... I can teach about health, I have retained almost everything I have ever learned about health, and I can relate most of it to personal experience. I can also share light-weight packing and survival secrets, a subject I have personally studied for years. I love learning! Teach me anything, and I will be facinated. I love new languages, practical things like knots and recipes, and shortcuts, If you have a more efficient way of doing something, teach me!
