ABOUT ME

I am a workaholic yet a very curious and sociable person. I totally love travelling but hate the idea of package tours, cruises and so on - I tend to design my trips myself. Normally I am going onto some kind of trip every couple of months or so. Spent some years living and working in UK, but then returned back to Belarus and actually love it. I am environmentally minded and hate pointless consumption. I prefer listening to talking and "experiencing" to "just seeing".

I am listening to all kinds of weird music and am passionate about finding out the connections and historic relations in the contemporary music. Love attending live music events, and often tying my travel schedule to those. Spending a fair share of my nighttime working on home-grown electronic projects and writing the software code for pure beauty of it. Doing lots of cycling as well as some occasional hitch hiking trips. I am an "enthusiastic consumer of great spirits" (so that people didn't call me an alcoholic :) ) and have a passion about whiskys (Islay whiskys in particular). Dedicated pipe smoker - but I never smoke indoors. My main interest though is travelling and observing how things work and how people live throughout the world.

For those interested in motorcycles - I'm riding a BMW F800GS, doing some lengthy motorway trips on that and some light offroad whenever opportunity presents itself.
